Spalding Flower Parade 2005

The theme for the 2005 Spalding Flower Parade was 'Anything Goes'. The Flower Queen was Tara Hosier (18). Her deputy was Jenny Larner-Peet.

The parade took place on Saturday April 30th and it was the 47th Flower Parade. More than 700 people took part in the parade under beautiful sunshine, although the day started with light showers. These had passed by lunchtime.

The parade left the Springfields arena, led by the Flower Queen float. Local press described the event as 'the best parade ever'.

Notable floats included Geest with their hot air balloon, Flamingo Holdings with a Viking longboat, a space theme from Moulton Chapel and a circus train by the Friends of the Parade. There were 37 floats in total.
