1970 - Toward a New World

1971 - Jewels of Spring

1972 - Tulipman, celebrating 400 years of the tulip

Deputy Miss Tulipland was Wilhelmina De Leeuw

John Noakes (Blue Peter) was in attendance.

1973 - The famous Disney Flower Parade

The 1973 parade saw horrendous weather on the Sunday and crowds were down to around 60,000. The parade on Saturday attracted 400,000 people.

Miss Tulipland was Maureen Cousins and her deputy was Jane Darley.

This year, the traffic was described as 'horrendous'.

1974 - Wildlife in flowers

Penningtons won best dressed window.

Miss Tulipland was Claire Parker and deputy was Susan Hawley.

Janet Robinson rode on the Lingarden float.

A float was entered by the newly formed 'South Holland District Council'.

It rained throughout the parade.

1975 - The World about us

1976 - 

Kim Waters was Miss Tulipland and her deputy was Sue Smith.

Described as the hottest weather ever for a flower parade and over 250,000 people attended.

More than 3,000 caravans arrived in Spalding.

1977 - Queen's Silver Jubilee

1978 - The Circus comes to town

1979 - 21st Spalding Flower Parade
