The theme for the 1988 Spalding Flower Parade was '30 years of Floral Entertainment'
This year was the first year where Miss Tulipland was elected as a 'Flower Queen'. It was 19 year-old Sally Atkins of Pinchbeck.
The 1988 parade was held on the 7/8/9th May (Saturday - Monday)
